Concerto Italiano and Sara Mingardo are two of the most outstanding contributors to the present great resurgence of early music in Italy. After visits to our Festival by the ensembles directed by Fabio Biondi and Giovanni Antonini, we can now experience the expressive intensity of the group led by Rinaldo Alessandrini. They accompany a singer who has earned a great reputation for her performances of the works of Monteverdi and Vivaldi.
