David Alegret was born in Barcelona, and is gifted with a light, lyric tenor voice of great expressive range. He will be accompanied on the piano by Rubén Fernández Aguirre. For this recital at the Torroella Festival, Alegret has chosen a selection of well-known Italian opera and concert arias, followed by a carefully chosen sequence of some of the best Catalan art songs, selected from the output of three generations of composers inspired by the work of the greatest Catalan poets.
