The Psaiko Quartet is a talented saxophone quartet formed in 2015 at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears. As from 2016, the quartet has been awarded several prizes in international competitions, the latest being the Silver Medal at the 1st Vienna International Music Competition, awarded this year. The quartet’s repertoire ranges from the most traditional classical music to the most innovative contemporary compositions. For their first visit to the Fringe Festival Torroella de Montgrí-L'Estartit they will perform a programme of music from the 20th and 21st centuries by European and American composers.
