Lean on Me

When José James is not composing his own original music, he makes versions of themes of the artists who have influenced him during his career. He did this in 2015 with Yesterday I had the blues, in which he sang some of the great songs made popular by Billie Holiday. Now, with Lean on Me, this singer from Minneapolis pays tribute to one of the artists that have influenced him most – Bill Withers. James will perform a selection of themes that Withers recorded on eight discs between 1971 and 1985.
