Breaking Bach is a surprising concert proposal that poses the aesthetic challenge of breaking with tradition by drawing on such eclectic influences as electronic music, hip hop, Carles Santos, Paco de Lucía, Franz Liszt and, as the connecting thread joining them all together, Johann Sebastian Bach. Carles Marigó applies a singular, unique approach to the performance of Bach's music: based on his research as an artist and performer, it consists of treating classical music as a living being in a process of constant adaptation, expansion and equilibrium with the environment.
