J. S. Bach: Cantata BWV 24 Ein ungefärbt Gemüte / Cantata BWV 168 Tue Rechnung! Donnerwort                                                                                                                                                        

One of the most consistently performed composers at the Torroella Festival, Bach returns with the Bachcelona Consort and the four winners of the 2022 Salvat Bach grant to perform two cantatas that the Leipzig cantor wrote for solo voices. The Cantata BWV 24 Ein ungefärbt Gemüte was first performed on 20 June 1723, three weeks after he took possession of his post as cantor at the church of Saint Thomas in Leipzig. The Cantata BWV 168 Tue Rechnung! Donnerwort was first performed on 29 July 1725, the ninth Sunday after Trinity, when he had already completed three years as Thomaskantor in Leipzig.
