John Butt and his Dunedin Consort are renowned for their revealing readings of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. They return to the Torroella festival to perform a mixed programme of Bach’s sacred and secular works. They will sing the first version of the brilliant Magnificat, one of the composer’s greatest works, written for Christmas Day, 1723.
