About this event

Jan Lisiecki is 20 years old and has been playing the piano in public for the best part of his life. Born in Canada of Polish parentage, Lisiecki is much more than just another child prodigy. He is one of those rare examples of a musician who lives in perfect communion with his instrument as a natural form of artistic expression. Despite his youth, he is a specialist in Chopin, both of whose piano concertos he has chosen to perform at his début at the Torroella Festival, accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès.
