For some years now, the tenora player, Jordi Molina, and the accordionist, Pere Pau Ximenis, have been performing as an intimate yet innovating duo that explores to the full the possibilities of their instruments. They have now gone a step further and have joined up with the Quartet Insòlit, a group of folk musicians playing string instruments, to produce new arrangements and original compositions. A la Sirga (Tempsrecord, 2013) is a new, undiscovered sound world that they will bring to us in a free concert that the Festival offers as part of the programme of the Torroella de Montgrí Festa Major (Town Festival).
