For her first concert in Torroella, the young and upcoming Catalan soprano, Anabel Pérez Real, has chosen a programme of lieder, the short composition for voice and piano that set poetry to music during the Romantic period and remained in fashion until the second half of the twentieth century. The programme includes lieder by Liszt and Strauss, mélodies – the French counterpart of the lied – by Debussy and Fauré, and songs by Joaquim Serra and Jaume Pahissa.
