Joaquín Turina: Serenata Op. 87 / Conrado del Campo: Cuarteto no. 10 "Castellano" / Julio Gómez: Cuartetino sobre una danza popular montañesa / Maurice Ravel: String quartet in F major

The Cuarteto Seikilos was formed in 2011 under the aegis of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE). After a hiatus in which its members continued their training in various European music schools, they came together again in 2017 to continue performing chamber music. At their presentation at the Torroella de Montgrí Fringe Festival, they will offer a programme of early 20th-century works by Spanish composers, culminating with a quartet by Maurice Ravel, whose music influenced the Spanish composers of the time. The Cuarteto Seikilos received the 2021 Emerging Group award at Festclásica, organised by the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals.
