G.P. Telemann: Suite in A minor for flute, strings and continuo/ J.S. Bach: Brandenburg Concert n. 2 in F major, BWV 1047 / Brandenburg Concert n. 6 in B flat major, BWV 1051 / Brandenburg Concert n. 4 in G major, BWV 1049.

The Brandenburg Concertos display great variety, each concerto having different instrumentation. The second has an interesting quartet of soloists – trumpet, recorder, oboe and violin – following the German style of composition also used by Telemann, which combines solo instruments of distinctly contrasting timbre. The virtuoso trumpet in the second Brandenburg concerto, the solo violin in the fourth and other instrumental combinations were daring innovations not frequently to be encountered at the time they were composed.
