This concert will depict different aspects of childhood. There is Chopin’s Berceuse (cradle song), the dream-like qualities of Debussy’s Images, the rhythmic freedom of Mompou’s Cançons i Danses and the half-mischievous, half-sentimental character of all the pieces in the programme. This depiction of childhood will serve as a central theme which today’s renowned soloist will elaborate to the full extent of his musical imagination.
