Masters of flamenco jazz, bassist Carles Benavent and saxophonist Jorge Pardo join the prize-winning trumpeter and composer Raynald Colom to form an exceptional trio for the closing concert of the 4th Jazz Festival l'Estartit. They will play un unforgettable programme of jazz fusion.

8.30pm- Carlos Sarduy Latin Jazz Quartet

Carlos Sarduy learned his music in Cuba and is one of the most outstanding young trumpeters active today. He has earned acclaim from audiences and critics alike with his style combining bebop and Afro-Cuban music. He has performed with great artists such as Chucho Valdés, David Murray and Esperanza Spalding, and has taken part in the sound tracks of Chico and Rita (Fernando Trueba, 2011) and The skin I live in (Pedro Almodóvar, also 2011). Sarduy comes to the Jazz Festival l'Estartit leading a quartet: he will be accompanied by piano, double bass and drums.
